Private tutor in Carmel, NY
Education
Middlebury College - BA, Political Science
Experience
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Middlebury College. While I was working toward my undergraduate degree, I spent a semester in the United Kingdom studying Medieval and Renaissance Literature and History at Oxford University. Since graduation, I have lived and traveled throughout Europe and America. I began tutoring while I was still in high school, when I assisted fellow students who needed help learning a new language. I continued along this path during college, when I helped ELL students with English Acquisition skills. Language courses have always been one of my favorite subjects to tutor, and I am able to tutor both English and French at all levels, from beginners and ESL students to AP-level learners. My background in the liberal arts also makes me partial to tutoring students in History, Government, Comparative Literature, and Social Studies. I enjoy tutoring because I strongly believe that the benefits of education reach far beyond the classroom walls. Knowledge enriches one's life both academically and personally, and I am happy to help others become lifelong learners. When I am not tutoring, I like to spend my time playing the guitar, writing music, painting, and acting.
